Chamber of Commerce Business Plan

Bi‐annually the Directors of the Chamber of Commerce host a summit meeting to review and assess our mission regarding the organization, objectives, and purpose. We take stock of our goals and accomplishments and plan for the future. From this summit, we create our business plan.

This information represents the hard work of many local leaders as they design a common goal of prosperity for our community.

How we are meeting our goals:

Annual Meeting: Where we gather our members to celebrate the success of our members, announce the leadership of the Chamber, share the successes of the past year and the upcoming opportunities.

Bridal Show: Sponsors: A Cut Above Salon & Spa & Reid Insurance/ Grange Insurance. We organize and showcase the products and services of those who work within the wedding and event planning industry. Grown to one of our most successful community events.

Casino Night: Sponsored by Dominos. Created to encourage a light‐hearted and fun environment to encourage networking with peers and community leaders. We create a fun evening with music, prizes, and games that allow new introductions, communication of ideas and creation of opportunities. We have had many successful partnerships trace their beginning back to an introduction during Casino Night.

Member Spotlights or Business Networking Events: We showcase the services/products of one of our members. Hosted one per month these programs gives members the opportunity share their story to the community. Open and free to the public.

Wyandot Safety Council: Promoting a safe work environment is paramount to our industry and community leaders. By hosting monthly programs owner’s managers and safety directors gather to share, discuss or learn about topical issues in health, wellness and safety. Supported the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation who offer up to a 4% premium rebate for companies who attend and support the Wyandot Safety Council. Thank you to the Founding members: Bridgestone APM, Dlubak Glass, County Commissioners and M‐Tek, who made the development of a Wyandot Safety Council possible.

Dedicated to supporting today’s leaders while developing tomorrow's emerging leaders is a significant part of the important work at the foundation of the Chamber’s purpose. Leadercast is a full day of national leaders who present their ideas and wisdom via international telecast. We gather as local leaders to hear the messages then receive continued opportunities by the Chamber hosting monthly discussions on the messages heard at Leadercast and individuals learn how to incorporate the lessons into their own management practices.

Golf Outing: Underwritten by, Edwards Jones, Regina Vent Reality LLC and Reid Insurance Agency/Grange Insurance. Long standing tradition as a great networking event while being a significant fund‐raiser for the Chamber. Member’s golf with clients, supporters, friends and co‐workers in a 4 person team scramble at our local golf course followed with fellowship and a great meal. This event helps continue the trajectory of programs and opportunities the Chamber develops for our community’s success. We have two waves for the golfer to choose from, one at 8:30 a.m. & another at 1:00 p.m.
